Maria’s Story
I started my journey with Donna during a period of immense change in my life. I’d moved to a new city, started an incredibly fast paced job, and felt overwhelmed and anxious most of the time. She created an incredibly safe space for me to explore what was happening. I went into our sessions without any sort of expectation - and was blown away by what occurred. She helped me get in touch with the part of me that was feeling overwhelmed and anxious and ask it what it needed. By going directly to the source, as if it were a little kid or a scared animal, I could hear it out and give it the reassurance and attention it needed.
It was so powerful!
From our very first session, we were able to access parts of myself that I had not been in touch with for years. Parts I hadn't been able to access even after months with a therapist.
For example, in the crush of the new job and all the new expectations, I'd been unable to access my creativity- which is my source of deep joy and satisfaction in life. While I knew it was temporary- I was feeling very unsettled about it- and doing things like going out and partying as a way of escaping the intensity of this new life.
In our very first session - she helped me connect with and talk to my creativity.
I was able to reassure this part of me that I hadn't forgotten about her-and that we were doing this new job as part of our ultimate goal to write and direct. It was exactly the reassurance that part of me needed. I could feel myself relax and feel more at peace. It was amazing. And guess what- the very next weekend, I began writing again and since then all sorts of creative projects have come forward. In addition, spending my weekend's out at some bar no longer had the same allure- and I found myself drawn to connecting with other creatives and doing things that filled me up and gave me energy.
By working with Donna, I'm more connected to myself and my truth, more at ease in my life, and feel more on purpose than I ever knew possible.
I left every session feeling incredibly jubilant and proud in the versions of myself that I accessed and spoke to. Our work gave me a sense of stability when I needed it most. Working with her is truly a gift and I am so incredibly grateful.
